EA has confirmed it will finally lift the lid on Battlefield 6 on 9th June 2021. We don't know whether this reveal will take the form of a livestream or simple YouTube video, but it'll take place at 3pm BST / 4pm CEST / 7am PDT / 10am EDT on the aforementioned date. That's before any E3 or Summer Game Fest conferences take place, meaning we could well see more from the shooter in the days that follow this announcement.
The date and times were shared in a Twitter post we've embedded below, but those all-important details are the only exciting titbits found within. We've got a logo and some music to accompany them — that's it. The game has been confirmed to be hitting PlayStation 5 and PS4, with a release coming later this year.
Now we just need to wait nine days for the reveal to actually happen. Where do you hope the Battlefield series goes next? Post your hopes and fears in the comments below.

Far more of a Battlefield man than I am COD so looking forward to this.
Having said that I thought 5 was awful and hardly played it.
Fingers crossed!
I wish that this was bad company 3. BC2 was my favourite shooter ever. Such a good game
@Hurblyburbly COD hasn’t been good since bo1/2 era. battlefield is clearly better simply because it isn’t a yearly churned out title.
I am hoping, wishing, praying for the BR experience that kills Warzone to be announced in this game. Fingers crossed.
I've missed a good BF. I think the last one that turned out to be a worthy bf was number 4, all the way back to the ps4 launch era. I even enjoyed when everyone else seemed to be having issues with it.
None of the others have interested me despite being free. BF3 was also absolutely mint and as much as I would love to see a BC3 It would appear that they're rebooting the bf franchise and dropping the number off the title.
Games like these need destruction, without it they're just shallow twitch shooters with no excitement or depth.
I feel like E3 started last week w/ the HFW SoP, DQ and Sonic news. It was a crazy good couple of days.
And this year, well I'm kinda having a hard time keeping straight what's E3, what's Game Fest, whatever Sony and Nintendo might be doing, so a couple of months from now the summer gaming news will have started last week and all run together in my head. Especially if New Switch Pro gets announced this week. Has to happen eventually.
I hope they take it to a direction without lootboxes, battle passes and more of that nonsense. I played some Bf4 lately and was really enjoying it again. Unfortunately I dont see them reaching that high anymore allthough I dont want to sound cynical lol.
I am looking forward to this! Cod is good but you can't beat a good game of battlefield, hope its better than V
@Hurblyburbly I literally could have written your comment word for word!
I'm actually looking forward to this installment of Battlefield as i had the last one.Number 5 was a so-so game. But Battlefield 4 was brilliant even though i was 3 years late to start playing the game.I ploughed hundreds of hours into it and met some good people. So i can't wait to see what they bring to the table.
I didn't mind BFV as I enjoyed the WWII setting. BF3 is my fave if the series so far, before the hackers moved in.
Awesome!
Battlefield series have never disappointed me apart when BF5 first launched though playing it again after it was on plus, they've improved it for sure.
Fingers crossed for it to be a modern game rather another WW1/2 again.
BF hasn't been good since 3
Nothing like Battlefield moments
You know where you gun down a couple enemies, tank shoots down the building you are in, after somehow managing to survive falling to the ground, a grenade goes off near you dropping you down to a sliver of health while you run disorientated through a bunch of smoke deafened by gunfire and explosions
After making it through all that breath a sigh of relief and wonder how you survived only to turn and have some pilotless plane fall out of the sky and crash down into you.
Awesome! Very much looking forward to seeing this, and hopefully a modern setting.
They really burnt me with BFV, so it is going to take something impressive to make me feel something different about it.
@RawnDawn From the leaked footage they appear to be going for a near future setting, which is understandable as I think they're positing this as a soft reboot ala Modern Warfare 2019. Either way it's going to be really something.
damn, we're finally getting a new battlefield.
The major problem with BF games is finding a squad, which is hard to do without PS Communities. The in-game system (w/e it's called) has never worked for me. I must be looking in the wrong places. Any suggestions?
@JB_Whiting That's awesome to hear, thanks for the info mate!
June 9th here we come baby!
@rjejr Same here haha, E3 is really gonna have to impress me after that week with Horizon/Sonic/Dying Light news.
@KidBoruto I've gotten sooooo sucked in to the New Switch Pro rumours I'm not sure I can even feel anything else until Nintendo announces it. Whatever it is. Pro. Refresh. Next gen. Dual screen. I'm not sure what else would get my attention. PS5 being in stock would be nice, but the Switch news will likely come long before that happens. 😥
@rjejr We should hopefully hear something about the new Switch on the day of the E3 Treehouse Direct...even if it's not during said Direct.
@KidBoruto Maybe on accident in the Treehouse since it's live. Which based on all of the retail listings wouldn't surprise me all that much. But if we don't hear about it sometime this week I think it will stay on the hush hush until August, which would be a good time to announce a refreshed Switch for September. Or in September for the holidays. One of these days. 😉
